WMS Devon Painting Division Delivers Beautiful Results On Period Building In Torrington!

WMS Devon Painting Division once again proved we deliver by presenting our clients with a nice clean and freshly painted external decoration project, this time on this beautiful building in Torrington dating from 1832.

Faced with extensive masonry repairs and significant surface contamination our Painting Manager Martin Baker called in specification support from Dulux Trade, who recommended a combination of painting systems including Dulux Trade, Graphenstone breathable masonry finish and Sikkens woodstain.

Martin said “Its always nice when challenged by something a little out of the ordinary, this beautiful building deserved the love and care we put to it and I think you’ll agree the results are amazing!”

The client is thrilled and we are pleased the building is cloaked in a superb finish for the enjoyment of the community for many years to come!

WMS Site Manager Lee Budge was thrilled when contacted recently by local Councillor Ros Wyke seeking to view progress at our Wellington site refurbishment in Somerset.

The Councillor attended site with the client and was escorted throughout her visit by Lee who said “it was great to run through the project with Ros and although we are at a very early stage we continue to make significant progress against programme, it will be great if Ros can come back again as we gain traction and mobilise fully,  things will be really moving very shortly!”

WMS secured this contract via competitive tender and continue to make significant in roads in Somerset, incrementally growing our business sustainably year on year.

Dan The Man Does It Again!

WMS would not have the success they have without the hard work and attention to detail of their workforce.

We’ve said it before and we will say it again when customers take the time to write to us its always appreciated, we like to think we are good at what we do.

The note we received below today is testament to that, well done Dan and well done to all our workforce who work hard all day every day, its much appreciated.

"Dear Sir or Madam ,  I would like to thank you for sending such a wonderful young man to paint my ceiling and wall at Queen Elizabeth Court.

Dan was an absolute pleasure to have working in my flat he was, polite, happy and a hard worker. He made sure he left no sign of him being there apart from the work he had done. Once again thank you , it makes such a difference when you get a competent work man .

Yours sincerely.  Miss S."

Young WMS Property Maintenance Apprentice Max Greach doesn't mess about! Having only recently enrolled and started with us Max has blown us away with his eagerness to learn and "can do" attitude!

Surveying, laying block work, mixing concrete to infill pot blocks, applying scratch coats, laying on plaster first and second coats, trowelling up and mixing and applying render finishes Max is fast becoming a key part of the WMS team!

These pictures are a credit to him, mind you he looks a little tired at the end of the day, well done Max!
