What a night!

What a night! The festive spirit was out in full force at our Client’s Residents’ Christmas Sing-along in Helston. WMS, together with the fantastic One Voice Choir, put on a wonderful evening complete with nibbles, a tipple, and plenty of Christmas cheer — and they absolutely delivered.

Pictured are the choir and the amazing Liz, whose dedication to local charities is truly inspiring. We can’t wait to
work with them again. A brilliant night all round!

Top man, Craig!

WMS Contracts Painting Manager Craig Welch has been leading the charge in promoting our WMS Cornwall office’s support for this year’s Cornwall Rewind Radio Christmas Toy Appeal.
Team members from the WMS Cornwall office generously donated brand‑new, unwrapped toys and gifts, which will be distributed to children from families facing financial challenges this holiday season.
This fantastic initiative ensures that gifts reach those who need them most, showcasing the power of community involvement and spreading festive cheer to children who might otherwise go without.
Pictured here is Craig with members of the Cornwall Rewind Radio team and some of the gifts donated. Well done to everyone involved!

WMS Bideford: Snug as a Bug!

Our amazing WMS team in Bideford is feeling extra snug this festive season—and for a great cause! They took part in Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Supporting Neonatal Users & Graduates (SNUG) and collected over £150, which WMS has generously matched!

 Who is SNUG?

SNUG is a local neonatal peer support charity that helps families with sick and vulnerable babies across the South West—in hospitals, in the community, and at home.

We were thrilled to receive this heartfelt message from SNUG:
"Thank you so much to you and everyone involved for your donation—we honestly couldn’t do any of the amazing things we do without your support! Please pass on our thanks to everyone who joined in :)"

Well done, Bideford team!

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas!

The festive spirit was in full swing thanks to WMS, as our Contracts Manager, Jon Nile, hosted an end-of-contract Christmas get-together at John Ellis Court in Hayle.

Jon, who has overseen the installation of 35 new bathrooms at the scheme, felt it was the least he could do to thank the residents, who have been fantastic throughout the works.

Working alongside Nathan and the WMS Team, Kevin, the Property Delivery Surveyor, and Karen, the Location Manager, they put on a true Christmas treat—complete with festive music, mince pies, and (non-alcoholic!) mulled wine.

Pictured here are Jon, Kevin, several residents, and an example of a completed bathroom. Well done to Jon, Nathan and the whole team—fantastic results and a wonderful gesture!

WMS support the Harbour Community Drop-In Centre

WMS are once again proud to support our foodbank partners at the Harbour Community Drop-In Centre, donating £500 to help them continue delivering their fantastic services.

Formed in 2010, the Harbour Community Drop-In Centre is a Bideford-based charity run entirely by volunteers. They provide hot food and drinks, clean dry clothing, telephone and internet access, a postal address, advice and support, counselling, signposting, and help with form-filling—offering vital assistance to those in need within the local community.

“It’s thanks to the Harbour that I’ve been able to turn my life around for the better.”

“Everything I’m wearing was provided by Harbour—even my socks and underwear.”

WMS are proud to support those most in need within our community and wish all the wonderful volunteers at the Harbour a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
