That Friday feeling!

It’s always rewarding to be recognised for our efforts—especially at an event like the recent Taylor Lewis It's a Knockout. A big thank you to Julian House for the kind words. It means a lot coming from an organisation doing such incredible work. We hope to have the opportunity to support you again in the future!

What a fantastic day!

WMS were proud to support the Taylor Lewis It's a Knockout Competition 2025 at Winslade Manor — especially knowing that sponsorship helps fund the incredible work of Julian House and Cornwall Hospice Care.

Now in our second year attending, the event continues to go from strength to strength. It was inspiring to see construction partners from across the South West come together, thanks to the brilliant efforts of Jules, Helen, and the team, all united for two truly worthy causes.

From top-notch networking and team building to some seriously challenging obstacles — the day had it all. And to top it off… we took home the trophy!

Of course, they say it’s not about winning — and we couldn’t agree more. It was a privilege just to be part of something so special. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part.

What a day. What a region. Here’s to construction in the South West!

Thanks as always...

We all know WMS is always ready to go the extra mile for our customers—but this time, one of our customers went the extra mile for a great cause: the mental health charity MIND!
With support from WMS Brent and eight other members of the motorcycle groups Zoomies_ride and Bristol Biking Girls, over £7,000 was raised during an incredible ride to Old Sarum Airfield. The adventure didn’t stop there—everyone bravely completed a skydive and then celebrated in style (with maybe one too many sherbets afterwards!).
Can you blame them? Huge congratulations to everyone involved—what an amazing achievement!

WMS Cornwall Office Fires Up the BBQ Season!

What better way to kick off the weekend than with a Friday afternoon BBQ at the office, surrounded by great colleagues?

Our resident "Master Chefs," James and Justin, took charge of the grill, while Tash worked her magic coordinating the event with her usual flair!

It was fantastic to see the whole team come together—sharing laughs, enjoying some cold drinks, delicious food, and plenty of banter.

The Unit has grown significantly over the past year, and this was the perfect opportunity to reconnect and celebrate our progress.

Huge thanks to James, Justin, and Tash for putting on another brilliant event. Here’s to many more!

WMS is proud to sponsor the Crewkerne Rangers Under-13 Lions Team!

Founded in 2008, Crewkerne Rangers has grown from a single men’s team into a thriving community club with two men’s teams, a ladies team, and six youth teams. They play their home games at Henhayes Park and Wadham School in Crewkerne.

The U13 Lions were the second youth team established at the club and have been playing together since their U7 days in the Yeovil League. Over the years, this talented and dedicated group has developed remarkably, achieving their first major success by winning the U10 Nigel Broome Cup in 2022.

Their momentum continued with victories at the Yeovil Town Tournament in 2023 and the Wincanton Tournament in 2024. Most recently, they wrapped up their first competitive season as U13s in Division 1 of the Yeovil League with an impressive 3rd place finish.

But their journey doesn’t stop there! The Lions have also taken their talents abroad, competing in the TEHA Cup in Germany in 2023 and reaching the quarter-finals at the FC Zutphen Tournament in the Netherlands in 2024.
This summer, they’re set to continue their European adventure at the Mieve Cup in Belgium before kicking off their U14 season in September. With their sights set on building on this year’s success, the team will proudly wear their WMS-sponsored training tops as they continue their footballing journey.

Best of luck to the Crewkerne Rangers U13 Lions — your friends at WMS are cheering you on all the way!
