WMS’ Contribution to this Year’s Parliamentary Review

Our MD, Michael Sussex, at WMS was asked to contribute to the 2017 / 2018 Parliamentary Review.  Every year, members of the business community are invited to write an article for The Parliamentary Review which gives organisations and individuals a platform to share knowledge, insight and best practice with partners and clients alike, with a view to raising industry standards.    Michael was honoured to be asked to make this significant contribution which was highlighting best practice within the Construction Industry.

WMS support the Yellow Welly Tour 2018

October 2018

Greg Norman, the Health & Safety Manager for WMS, recently undertook a gruelling challenge to ride 102 miles (9000+ft of climbing) in one day. This involved cycling from Appledore Station over Exmoor, to Minehead Station and back . Various members of Appledore Lifeboat crew along with some local cyclists undertook this challenge to raise money for the RNLI (Appledore Lifeboat Station).  

Overall, the sum raised by the team was over £12,000.

New Surveyor

Mark has joined WMS as a surveyor and has been employed to process tenders and price future projects as well as assist in managing the company's various accreditation systems. He is an Advanced Craft Carpenter and Joiner and brings construction and manufacturing experience. Previous roles have included Project Management for a joinery manufacturer plus scheduling, estimating and material procurement.

Outside of work Mark enjoys time with his family, walking and the odd game of golf.
